Cynthia Pyle is a seasoned conflict resolution practitioner, certified coach, and organizational wellness strategist with over 15 years of experience supporting individuals and institutions through complex transitions, high-stakes dialogue, and systems-level change. A former conflict resolution practitioner with the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service (FMCS), Cynthia designed and facilitated national-level programs rooted in restorative practices, positive psychology, and behavioral change.

Her portfolio includes collaborative facilitation with the Department of Justice and community mediators under the Emmett Till Cold Case Initiative—where she led storytelling sessions that supported healing across historic trauma and systemic harm. Cynthia also contributed to the U.S. Department of Education’s negotiated rulemaking process on ethics and equity in the for-profit college sector, and served as a strategic advisor with the Office of Personnel Management (OPM), where she supported agency-wide conduct, performance, and labor relations reform.

Cynthia integrates trauma-informed coaching, wellness-based leadership development, and human-centered design to create sustainable pathways for post-conflict transformation. Her approach extends the work of traditional ADR by offering ongoing reflection, emotional integration, and leadership realignment for individuals and teams.

Cynthia holds a B.A. in Political Science from Trinity Washington University and a M.P.P. in Social Policy at the University of Maryland, College Park. She is a certified Professional Certified Coach (PCC) through the International Coaching Federation (ICF), a certified Positive Intelligence® Coach, a LUMA Human-Centered Design Facilitator, and an EEOC-trained Counselor. She is also a trauma-informed 200-hour certified yoga teacher with more than 200 hours of mediation and conflict resolution training.

Cynthia’s work aligns deeply with Impact Associates’ mission to restore clarity, trust, and forward movement in moments of disruption. She brings not only technical experience but also a compassionate presence that fosters transformation at every level of the system.
